The secret to permanent weight loss is simply in your daily lifestyle choices.  Have you or anyone you know skipped breakfast and then ate everything in sight the minute they get home?  How about snacking on foods loaded with sugar and fat instead of snacking on fresh fruit, vegetables and whole grains.

If you finally want to lose weight and keep it off for good, you must master consistency.  When you feel in control of your decisions weight loss goals are easily attainable.

My goal is to empower you to make positive lifestyle choices that will lead to you loving how you feel and look.

 

Here’s 11 ideas that will keep you consistent and in control of your daily decisions.  Good Luck!

 

1. Set a small, specific goal.  Write the goal on stick it notes and plaster all over the house and work.

2. Focus only on losing the next 2 pounds.  Focusing on micro-goals can keep you from feeling overwhelmed.  Think two pounds at a time.

3. Try on your jeans once a week to gauge how your doing.

4. Surround yourself with support,  friends, family or inspirational images are great sources of support.

5. Make a list of what works for you and keep doing those things.  What works for someone else may not work for you so stick with what works for you.

6. Visualize what you want to look like and create a vision board that will keep you motivated.

7. Schedule exercise like an apt.

8. Keep a food journal.  Tracking keeps you more aware of your choices all day long.

9. Calories count for 80% of your weight loss success.  Be aware of portion sizes.

10. To reap all the calorie burning and metabolism boosting rewards, your best bet is to follow a program that includes both cardio and weight training.

11. Create a fail safe environment.  Make a list of your trigger foods( those you can’t stop eating if they’re in the house) and don’t buy them.

 

Remember you’re  in control.  Just wait for the exhilarating moment when your jeans become loose and you get your first compliment.  Surely you will be hooked!
